Got any good chicken slow cooker recipes?

I am looking for actual recipes not websites to find recipes. I really love chicken. I have a slow cooker with low, medium and high levels. I haven’t used it yet and hope to break it in this week since I am not working. Any help would be wonderful.


  1. This is not the week to do this, but after the holidays, make Cranberry Chicken.

    Put raw skinless chicken legs and/or thighs in the crock pot along with one finely chopped onion. In a large bowl, mix one can of cranberry sauce (I prefer the berry kind, not the jelled, but that’s up to you, they are both good!) with 2 tbsp dijon mustard, 1/4 tsp cloves, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp ginger. Pour the cranberry mixture over the chicken, turn the pot on low and cook all day. Remove chicken to a platter, degrease the gravy, make a slurry of 1 tsp corn starch and 2 tbsp water and mix it in with the gravy. Turn pot on high and cook until gravy thickens. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes, it’s really tasty!

    To lower the fat, you can use skinless, boneless chicken breasts, but they cook MUCH faster…if you cooked them all day it would taste like yummy shoe leather.

    3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
    1 jar spaghetti sauce
    1 sm. can sliced olives
    1 sm. onion, chopped
    2 each celery stock, sliced
    1 c. mushrooms, slices
    1 c. carrots (optional) or any vegetable desired
    1 pkg. macaroni (shells, elbow, etc.)
    Cut chicken in bite size pieces. In crock pot, combine chicken, spaghetti sauce, olives, onion, celery, mushrooms and carrots. Cook on low 6 to 7 hours or high 3 to 4 hours. Cook macaroni. Place macaroni in bowl, spoon Chicken Cacciatore over. Great with french bread and a salad.

    4 to 6 pieces chicken
    1/2 cup ketchup
    1/2 cup barbecue sauce

    Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker and pour ketchup and barbecue sauce over the top of the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

    NOTE: Try adding one chopped onion for a delicious flavor.

    4-6 chicken breasts
    Bacon strips
    1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    Dash of garlic powder
    Wrap chicken with bacon. Place in crock pot. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Cook all day on medium high. Serve over rice. Serves 4-6.

  3. Try this one. Brown 1 large chopped onion in some oil, add 3 cloves of crushed garlic and saute for 1 minute.
    Cover with 1 kg of chopped chicken either pieces with bone or fillets.(Whatever suits you). Put slices of potatoes, zucchini.pumpkin or sweet potato and chopped cabbage over the chicken in layers.Add salt, pepper, 1 cup of parsley, 2 cups of chicken stock and a bit of chili to taste.
    Let is simmer on slow for about and hour or 1 1/2 hours. At the end thicken the sauce with some cornflour and serve with rice and a salad

  4. I can’t remember any chicken recipes off the top of my head. But I have an awesome one for ham.

    We usually buy a small precooked ham. In the morning before going to work, stick it in the slow cooker, add about a cup of brown sugar and a bottle of beer. Set it on low and when you get home from work, you’ll have a nice juicy tender ham ready for dinner.

    Slow cookers are awesome because all you have to do is throw all your ingredients in there and you don’t have to worry about it. You’re not going to spend your work day stressing about what to make for dinner and how long it will take.

    Place chicken pieces in a crockpot and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Combine preserves, BBQ sauce, onion and soy sauce and pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. Add water chestnuts and green pepper slices for the final hour. Serve over hot cooked rice.

    Roast Meat Hoagies
    1 large roast (venison, etc.)
    2 beef boullion cubes
    1 onion, minced
    2 cans mushrooms stems and pieces, drained
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cheddar cheese soup
    American, Provolone,Swiss or Cheddar Cheese slices
    about 20 Hoagie rolls

    Place roast in the crockpot/slowcooker with boullion cubes, 1/2 cup water, and onion. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours. Remove roast from crockpot, drain liquid. Using two forks, shred the meat and return to slowcooker.
    Add mushrooms and soups (do not dilute!), stir well and replace lid.Turn crockpot to high for 15 minutes or until everything is heated through.Place a slice or two of cheese on sliced hoagie bun, top with roasted meat mixture and serve.

    Easy Slow Cooker Dinner
    4 large potatoes, cut into chunks
    1 onion, diced
    2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
    1 tsp. seasoning salt
    1 can cream of mushroom soup.

    Lightly season chicken with seasoning salt. Combine chicken, potatoes, and onion in slow cooker. Top with soup. Cook 6-8 hours on low, adding water if necessary.
    Serve over hot white rice.

    "Just like Mom’s" Roast Beef
    beef roast
    2 bags "stew mix vegetables" (carrots, potatoes, celery and pearl onions)
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 cups water
    1/4 cup italian dressing

    In the crockpot, mix together the tomato sauce, water and italian dressing. Roll the roast in the tomato mixture until it’s coated. Turn Crockpot on high for 1 hour. After 1 hour, turn crockpot to low, add stew mix veggies and cook on low 6 hours until meat is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
